I am 19 years old born in Saudi Arabia Ryad - From there i moved to Norway where i spent most of youth years...i came to norway in 1990 where i was activily playing for a local youth team called rosenborg. After spending 12 years in Norway ...my family decided to move to canada where most my family members were receiding at.

2002- i Moved to Toronto Canada to pursure a better life. when arived june 6th 2002 the somali community of toronto welcomed me good by letting play their annual somali soccer tourney where i played with Iftin/Hirid...i scored an Hat-trick in first ever game in Canadian soil with iftin. Many teams like banadir did not see the talent in me but Iftin/Hirid had seen my talent and put me on his team roster.
My team did not go so far we lost in thje quarter finals against Atlanta who had knocked out northern star that year. i had scored 6 Goals during that tourney but another plahyer in banadir had scored more goals then me. after that tourney i started highschool in Toronto in a school called Kipling collegiate i started there from grade 10.

2003- i played again for iftin, but this time againt we made till the quarter finals and lost to one my best friends in toronto ali bashi and his somali united.
~ 2003 i played first ever ramadan tournement with Hodan and ended up winning the tourney.
i also moved to Winsor ontario.

2004 - was one my worst year when it came to soccer because i had to play for two different team s in two diffferent tourneys in two different somali tourney, people dont really realize how wrong that was to be participating in those tournys,,Both tourneys were representing two different ethnic groups and that had nothing to do with soccer. i just played becayse i love the game of soccer not because i am supporting one of teh groups. on one side i played for Windsor and on the other i played for the soccer legend Mohamed Hagi who had asked me to play for him through my parents who were a very great fan of him. i played for mohamed hagi because he was older person and i had respect for him i also played for him in spanish league aswell. But in windsor i was playing for a Under 19 team who was playing teams from all over ontario they played in a league called OYSL!

in june 2004 i moved back to toronto because my family decided to leave my sister behind to attend university in windsor, my mother espically didnt like living in windsor because of the un healthy life style and the bad humidity.

2005- I played my first ever islamic league for Soyat and i was on loan to Salama to help sheek Mahmouds team and my good friend Anwar who had asked me to play for him, Anwar lost one of his best friends to Soyat. Once again the same thhing that had happened 2004 had happened again the two sides did not agree on making one tourney!!! so i had to again play for two different teams

This time i again played for Windsor but on the other side i played for Simba.

with simba i made it to the semi finals. i had scored one of the most beautiful goals during that tourney with sissor kick (labaloogotee) against Saxaan during group stage game...but when faced them on the semi finals i couldnt play due to an hamstering injury.

with windsor i made it to the finals against Banadair "THE REAL MADRID OF TORONTO" for the last two tourneys banadir had asked me to play for them but i had said no because they did not believe in my talent when i first arived to the country.
in the semi finals i beat one of my good friends ali bashi him and his England Stars i scored 1 goal that game and caused a penalty wich made the score 2-2 the game went on to penalty kicks and we ent on to advance to the Finals against Banadir.

Against Banadir the score was 2-2 but i scored the winning goal rite before the end but was dissallowed for offside. but many ppl who were watching the game did not think so.
After regular time the game went on to penalties i was the first one too take the penalty.....But my
shoot was saved by the Banadir goalie who they had borrowed from London Star.

September 11 2005 i played in a tourney in windsor for my somalian windsor team...where my team won. me and ali bashi were the only players who left the city from Toronto.

i also won sheridan park leauge with my friends anwar ali, Dheegay, Roble, abdisamad, abdikadir and Adey.

2005- Present - i am currently attending York University where i am studying Kinesiology and health science. i am also playing for the york university varsity mens soccer team.

My favourite player is Adriano - i am very amazed with they way he plays on the pitch. he should be the man to watch for World Cup 2006!!!

I hope that next year the somali soccer federation of toronto will host oone tournement where all the youths get to see each other and enjoy the soccer tourney that everyone admires.

We should not think about money but the quality of the soccer tourney, the people of toronto are tired of watching the same old people they wanna see some new faces. by playing in one tournement that will happen and we will probably have national team players for Canada or Somalia.
